SAFE projects have many characteristics, but they are all aimed on to improving smallholder farmers’ businesses, incomes and knowledge just as much as the partners’.
Call for SAFE Projects is CLOSED for 2016
The main aim of SAFE’s projects is to bring together key value chain actors who share a common vision for addressing the challenges of sustainable agriculture and the inclusion of small holder farmers in global high value markets in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
SAFE will open its call for concept notes for SAFE Individual Projects (expected average total budget of $2.5 million) and for Small Interventions (average total budget of US$ 140.000) in 2017.
We look forward to receiving innovative proposals that build partnerships and invest in responsible sourcing models to increase the inclusion of small holder farmers through integrated access to financial services, technical assistance and markets.
SAFE partners and allies are encouraged to establish contact with the SAFE Platform to obtain support from Hivos’ technical personnel in the process of building the proposal or adding capacities, scale or connecting with allies through SAFE Platform networking contacts.
